Casey: huge bags of spices that Karen got a picture of while we bought $3 worth of cardomon seeds in a spice store in Little India, Penang. The store was packed with spice sacks and the aroma was difficult to leave. Evidently, the spice trade was a major reason for Penang's existence. We pretended we were in India - Karen bought a beautiful blue sari for $25 US and I got two classic Bollywood DVDs (wanted to see more after our movie theatre experience). Back in KL now after a somewhat sleepless overnight train. Staying on the 27th floor of Le Meridian, a VERY posh hotel right by the KL train station. Our room's toilet has one of those Japanese bidet seats, my first. Although skeptical and timid at first, I have to say that the Japanese have some great ideas!
