Just visited a mosque and really lucked out as it was 1 hour before the Friday noon prayer, and Abdul gave us a tour. Covered my body, as all women do in the mosque, though my only complaint is that the robes should be made of linen. It is hot here.
Fortunately, lots of women carry around umbrellas to protect from the sun so my sun-avoidance obsession fits in really well here. The mosque is across the street from a Hindu Temple, which is across the street from a Buddhist Temple. So many beliefs converging in one place and no conflicts.
Casey is trying more crazy foods than you can imagine. We had some "typhoon style" noodles yesterday as a test case for GERD - guess what? No GERD, despite it's high octane spicyness, so we're convinced that our jobs are the real culprit.
