The United Countries of Baseball

Back in 2007 Nike created this United Countries of Baseball map to glean a sense of fan loyalty around the nation. Geographers unite! Cartography should be left to the cartographers. Fans complained bitterly about the borders of their respective teams: aren't there more Yankee fans in southern Connecticut? Are we being overly generous in emphasizing the sphere of Rockies' influence? And who, again, are those darn Tampa Rays, and how did they manage to strong-arm their way into first place in the AL east (okay, that's my question)? If you dare, plug in your zip code on the United Countries of Baseball website to redraw fan boundaries while simultaneously helping the struggling Nike corporation sell more merchandise. Come on, just do it. Or if you prefer, tell us how the borders should be shifted.
