News of the Weird

The Metro is our local Bristol paper and reading it has become part of our daily ritual. Much of the news is informative, but some of it borders on the bizzare. At times, the publication reminds me of The Onion, only 100% of the stories are true. We’ve clipped some of our favorite Metro stories and thought we'd share them with you. The first story chronicles just how serious the bobbies are about hate crimes. The second headline cautions us about the risks of dog bones, while the story itself is about dog phones. Always the joker, Casey pretended he was startled when I read that the dog phones were 100 pounds. They don't weigh 100 pounds, they cost 100 pounds. Click on each image and enjoy the read.
