Our State of the Union

So it’s been three years since my man yanked me from the tundra-like yet loveable Wisconsin to the lovely but aloof mile-high state, and it’s now safe to say that I’ve stopped kicking and screaming and have planted my feet more firmly upon terra firma.

There are many people/groups to thank for this:
(1)The folks who offered me a teaching gig that rivals that of my former small town professorship in WI.
(2) Jimetha, the Singapeople, who know the value of Fo Co having been separated from it for far too long.
(3) The local dance club, which runs swing and salsa nights and classes, allowing us to engage in something other than work.
(4) Our mulatto canine Kiwi whose wanderings have forced us to become acquainted with our neighbors in the Parkwood hood.

Hence, the State of our Union is good; some might say, it is excellent. As for the State of THE Union, that's a whole different story. You can check out the Onion's Weekly Radio Address for a hilarious look at the 2006 State of the Union. The economy of Mars is strong...

I'm so happy to hear that Colorado is starting to grow on you. =) If it took 8 months of my suffering in Singapore to bring it about, well, no, it wasn't worth it. But I'm still happy for you.

Give the Ki-ster a cuddle!

Thanks, Venitha. We can't wait to see you and sweaty-faced Jima when we visit.
