Faroe Islands Video: A Shout Out to Olavur

Have spent the past five days planning a three week study abroad trip for Summer 2009. Destination: Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Research and planning have brought back some magical memories from our trip to see Olavur in 2002. Never before have I visited a place that has so gently changed my view of the world. Can't wait for the opportunity to show my students the highlights of Olavur's emerald island nation. In 2007 National Geographic Traveler magazine rated the Faroes one of the least spoiled islands on the planet (see image above), but the place holds more than raw beauty alone.

What does one study at/on/in the Faroe Islands?
Do most buildings there have grass roofs?
Who is eligible for this trip?
When is the trip?
Why the Faroe Islands?
How much will it cost?
Is the food good?
Does one need an interpreter?
Shorts or a coat?
